William “Butler” Vasuer, 74 of DeWitt died June 10, 2015. He was born September 21, 1940, in Reydell, AR, to Eugene and Alfie Myrtle Herrington Vasuer.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Hutch Vasuer.
Butler’s survivors include his wife, Carol Smith Vasuer, of DeWitt; sister, Ola Sanders, of Conway; and many nieces and nephews.

Obit Boyd
Leslie Lee Boyd, 75, died June 27, 2015 at Baptist Health in Little Rock. He was born to John Alexander and Mamie Azalee Boyd on May 3, 1940 in the small farming community of Van, Arkansas. He grew up on the farm working with his dad and brothers raising rice, cotton, soybeans, wheat and Blank Angus cattle. Leslie attended school in DeWitt where he played football, basketball and ran track for the DeWitt Dragons. He married his high school sweetheart, Nancy Jane Steele, in November 1958. They moved to Clarendon in 1963 where he farmed and managed Shamrock Farms for 30 years until ill health forced his retirement. He was a member of Clarendon First Baptist Church, former member of Roe Men’s Club and the Gaspergoo Hunting Club. Leslie enjoyed hunting and wordworking. He was particularly fond of fishing, especially with a grandchild by his side. In his later years, he enjoyed working out in his yard landscaping and tending to his flowers. Leslie was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Lionel D. Boyd, John Andy Boyd and Billy Gene Boyd. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Jane Steele Boyd of Clarendon; daughter Leslie Suzanne Self and husband Wayne, their children Ryan Ashley Self and wife Kelly and Zachary Boyd Self all of Roe; son John Russell Boyd and Wife Lisa, their children Lee Daniel, Alex Rae and Kylie Ashton Boyd of Lonoke; daughter Rebecca Jane Kroamer and husband David of North Little Rock, their children David Shane Kroamer and wife Jill, their children Christopher Aidan and Katherine Addilynn Kroamer of Georgia and Nikki Jane Kroamer and Cody Sanders and their child Madilynn Jane Sanders of North Little Rock; son Scott Steele Boyd and wife Sylvia and their children Scott Cameron, Scott Elliott and Ethan Steele Boyd of Stuttgart. He is also survived by a brother Bobby Boyd and wife Jean of DeWitt and a sister Patsy Ann Watts and husband Gary of Missouri. Pastor Billy M. Robertson, 82, of Rockford, IL went to be with his Lord and Savior, Sunday, June 28, 2015. Born Sept. 21, 1932 in Ramer, TN the son of Cletes and Nola Robertson. Served in the US Navy during the Korean War and married his first wife LaVern James in 1957, she preceded him in death in 1961. He was 29 years old at that time and trusted the Lord as his Savior asking forgiveness for his sins and for Jesus to come into his heart. He was called to preach the Gospel and from that time on he served the Lord with all his might. Billy married Priscilla Jones on November 3, 1967. In Feb. of 1973 with Jesus at his side, he became the founder and Pastor of Victory Baptist Church in Rockford, where he remained until his passing. His voice was strong, his message always having purpose and after 54 years the Lord called upon him to stand by his side. His interest included preaching, fishing, puzzles, hunting, being with his family and baseball. He was a devoted Pastor, Husband, Father and Papa and will be missed dearly every day. Survivors include his wife Priscilla, son, Joel (Denne) of Morris, IL; daughter, Connie (Mark) Farson of WY; granddaughters, Aundrea and Natalie, grandson, Micah (Candice) and great grandchildren, Paxton and Payton; sisters, Betty Groom and Carolyn Roger) Ragle and brothers, JT (Pat) and Jim Robertson. Preceded in death by his first wife and parents.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Victory Baptist Church, 7028 Rydberg Rd, Rockford, IL 61109 with Pastor Joel Robertson of Freedom Baptist Church, Morris, IL officiating. Visitation wasTuesday, June 30 from 5-8 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. and continued Wednesday at Church from 9 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 3 at Forks LaGrue Cemetery, DeWitt, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers memorials to the family for Missionary Projects.
